Mississauga (June 11, 2017): The fundraising Walkathon 2017 organized by the Handi-Care International at the Erin-dale Park Mississauga, was a grand success with large turnout and lots of fun.
The highlight was the “Kids Walk”… Kids from age 3 and more, enthusiastically participated in 1.5 KM walk, led by a youth volunteer… They cheered each other on, sang along the way and had a good time, while learning about why they are walking and how they can contribute to a better world!!
All the children’s activities – Face painting, Henna, crazy hair & several games, were well received and thoroughly enjoyed..“South Indian delight” breakfast…. yumm… Pongal, Idlis, Sambar, Chutney and Mysore Pak, set the pace for the walk, talk, Yoga, mingle and a great day !! Thanks to all the volunteers who took so much effort to prepare them in the wee hours of the morning.
CHASKA restaurant provided an amazing lunch package. It was sold out within 30 min., and everyone was raving about their main lunch combos and the mouth watering Mango Lassi.
