Toronto, ON – The Toronto International Dance Festival (TIDF) is thrilled to announce its 2024 indoor fall festival, taking place on Saturday, October 12th at 6 pm at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto. This year’s theme, “Braided Rhythms” curated by Paromita Kar, promises to weave together a diverse tapestry of dance forms, genres, and styles from around the world.
TIDF 2024 celebrates the vibrant rhythms that unite us, featuring percussive dance styles that highlight the power of body percussion, from the tap of a foot to the jingle of a jingle dress. This inclusive festival invites all sectors of Toronto’s professional dance community to come together on one stage, showcasing the city’s rich cultural diversity.
Organized by DD Inc (Dancing Damsels Inc), TIDF 2024 welcomes proposals from concert dance, commercial dance, and community-based dance artists. The festival is open to all dance genres and expressive movement forms, embracing the diversity that makes Toronto a hub for artistic expression.
