Toronto: Dancing Damsels Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural diversity through art, is eagerly preparing to host the annual Toronto International Dance Festival. This year’s event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of talent, culture and unity as we celebrate a milestone anniversary. We are ecstatic to invite talented artists from all cultural backgrounds to come forward and display their skills on-stage.
Scheduled to take place on November 18 and 19, this year’s festival will be held at the magnificent Chinese Cultural Center of Greater Toronto, located in Scarborough. With its state-of-the-art facilities and dedication to promoting multicultural representation, the center is the perfect venue for this grand celebration.
The festival provides a platform for dancers to share their heritage and creativity with an eager audience. It’s an occasion to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that thrive within Canada and to promote unity through the universal language of dance. Artists who are passionate about their craft are highly encouraged to apply for this remarkable opportunity.
Selected performers will have the honor of representing their culture and delivering a captivating 5-10 minutes choreography on-stage. The festival’s dance program is spread over two days, with a vibrant mix of styles. On November 18, the stage will come alive with the beats of Hip-Hop, Latin, Ballroom, Social, and Folk dances. The following day, November 19, will feature an enchanting display of Classical, Ballet, Modern, and Contemporary performances.
