NINE WOMEN WILL RECEIVE COMMUNITY AWARDS AT ICACI EVENT
Toronto (15 March, 2018): Hon.Dr.Asha Seth will be honoured with ICACI Lifetime Achievement Award while other Eight women will receive the Women Hero Awards as part of the sixth annual Celebrating Womanhood Gala event organized by the Indo-Canadian arts and Culture Initiative (ICACI).
Mokshi Virk, Director of Indo Canadian arts & Culture Initiative (ICACI) is organizing her highly successful 6th annual Celebrating Womanhood Gala event and Awards show at Red Rose Convention Centre, Mississauga on Saturday March 24, 2018.
“CELEBRATING WOMANHOOD” is a Gala event to inspire, honor and applaud some fabulous women. This evening is an attempt to recognize the work and contribution of Indo-Canadian women and honour them.
The award ceremony will be honouring nine women heroes from different walks of life, who have contributed to the society while achieving professional success.
This year, ICACI will recognize the achievements of the following women:
- Lifetime Achievement Award- Dr Asha Seth
- Performing Arts – Gayathridevi Vijayakumar
- Business – Sukhdeep Kang
- Community service- Urz Heer
- Diversity – Patricia Gonsalves
- Media – Haleema Sadia
- Entrepreneur- Shivani Sharma Gupta
- Education – Chitralekha Potnis
- Young Achievers- Simran Mann
This year’s event is planned along similar lines and will have some inspiring traditional South Asian performances, fashion show, a great networking opportunity with eminent speakers and an awards ceremony honoring Woman Heroes from different fields.
Many prominent personalities from the GTA have confirmed their attendance at the event include MP Ruby Sahota, MPP Harinder Malhi, MP Sangha, MP Grewal and City Councillor Gurpreet Dhillon.
Other distinguished personalities confirmed their attendance include corporate executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, social figures,and media persons. This fabulous colourful evening will showcase Ganesh Vandana, traditional Indian classical dance, Bollywood Fusion dance performances and glamorous fashion show. The organizers are expecting that guests will have a wonderful time at the event, while enjoying the traditional performances, glamorous fashion show, socializing and networking.
