Celebrate Motherhood on Sunday May 13, 2018
Mississauga: Dancing Damsels celebrates Mother’s Day with a spectacular Gala to honour Mothers and Grandmothers on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Oasis Convention Centre located at 1036 Lakeshore Rd East, Mississauga ON, L5E 1E4 from 12 pm to 6 pm.
This year’s theme is “Love Mom” and the festive celebratory gala features a variety of contests including a Photo Contest, Write & Win Contest, Creativity Contest, Card Making Contest and last but not least, this year we are excited to introduce the Mum & Me Fashion Show Contest! Walk the Ramp with Mom or Grand Mom and make it a moment to treasure! There are hundreds of fun prizes to be won and each Mom will receive with a Red Carpet welcome!
Special Mother’s Day Lunch will be served buffet style followed by afternoon tea, sweet treats and pastries. The afternoon will come alive with music, dance and a variety of multicultural live entertainment. There will be fun games and activities for all to enjoy. The Grand Cake Cutting Ceremony will make the evening memorable as Moms cut cake with their kids to commemorate the day and are showered and appreciated with flowers and gifts.
Mary Ashok, managing director of Dancing Damsels says that the event expects a grand turnout of approximately 300 – 400 guests.
This Gala marks the Kickoff of the 5th Annual Toronto International Dance Festival (TIDF 2018) which takes place outdoors on July 7-8, 2018 at the Albert Campbell Square and the indoor on September 30, 2018 at the Chinese Cultural Centre. Dignitaries from both Federal and Provincial levels of government will be in attendance for the inauguration ceremony.
Dancing Damsels is a Toronto based non-profit organization that strives to promote multiculturalism through the arts and aims to empower women to lead better lives.
