Toronto (July 23, 2018): Canada’s largest India Day Parade and Festival organized by Panorama India with the support of Consulate General of India, Toronto will be held on Sunday, 19 August, 2018 ( 12pm – 10pm )at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto.
This FREE community event has something for all ages! The purpose of the festival is to bring together the local Indian community through the celebration of unity in diversity.
Consul General of India in Toronto, Dinesh Bhatia will preside over the India Day event. Several notable political dignitaries from all levels of the government will participate.
The event kicks off with the National Anthem at 1pm followed by the Grand Parade, marshalled by Bollywood actor Jimmy Sheirgill.
Panorama India Chair Anu Srivastava is excited to announce that this year’s parade will display twenty floats representing the various States of India put together by the diverse number of cultural groups in the GTA.
The all-day program includes performances by 300+ local dancers and Panorama Idol singers. The headlining acts this year include the “King of Bhangra” Malkit Singh, Indo-Canadian Singer Parichay and much more!
There will be more than twenty food vendors this year, each bringing with them the mouth-watering flavours of India. The International Marketplace and Meena Bazaar will host a variety of unique clothes, food and jewelry booths. Other featured activities include a Lamborghini display and Kids Zone.
