Mississauga (ON) 13 July, 2017: Mississauga fashion week is starting from July 14 – July 22, in the heart of the city, to showcase and promote Canadian talent by celebrating various cultures and ethnicities and by bringing the fashion industry one step closer towards advocating for local causes.
Mississauga Fashion Week (MFWK) continues to make history in the Canadian Fashion Industry as it lays the ramp on an ice skating rink this year, and invites you to first ever, “Runway on the Rink” Gala which will be held on on July 22nd, 7 30pm at the Port Credit Arena (20 Stavebank Road), Mississauga.
From bathing suits to wrapped up hijabs, MFWK will be showcasing colorful creations of 14 talented Canadian designers by over 50 skilled runway models along with the artwork of over 25 expert hair and makeup artists. Witness the hard work of over 100 volunteers and associates who put together an extravagant week of fashion festivities and make it one of the most powerful fashion events of the year in the great city of Mississauga, Ontario
Mississauga Fashion Week 2017 in support of Beauty Against Brutality’s campaign called, “Fashion for hunger.”
Beauty Against Brutality is the local not-for-profit organisation and its purpose is to connect Fashion Industry to the causes which SPEAK OUT to amplify the weak VOICES for HELP and Magnify the IMAGEs of people in need. Beauty Against Brutality does not only focus on outer beauty and glamour of the models, it focuses on their mental, social and physical well-being as well.
This is the Red carpet affair in the city of Mississauga that will take place to promote local fashion industry, Canadian talent, boutiques and to celebrate different colours, cultures and customs of High Fashion. This fashion affair will also have upscale networking opportunities and the perfect environment for elite fashion lovers to exhibit, interact and create further businesses and alliances.
