(TORONTO – May 17, 2024) The Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF) film submissions officially closed on March 6, 2024. This year, TSFF has received 113 local and international submissions. The top countries TSFF has received submissions include: Canada, the United States, Australia and Iran.
TSFF has announced the event details for its upcoming festival. The 12th annual TSFF will take place in June 14-15, 2024 at the Korean Canadian Cultural Association and Innis Town Hall.
The annual TSFF 48-Hour Film Challenge returns once again in collaboration with George Brown College. The event is a spontaneous film challenge where participants work in teams to create a smartphone film in 48 hours.
There will be a pre-launch event for the 12th annual TSFF and 48-Hour Smartphone Film Challenge, held on May 31, 2024 at George Brown College. The selected films will be screened during the last day of the festival on June 15, 2024.
Mingu Kim, the Festival Director of TSFF, expressed his excitement in celebrating TSFF’s 12th edition this year. “We are thrilled to present creative shorts films from around the world. We will continue to foster and encourage aspiring filmmakers and content creators who have passion for smartphone filmmaking.”
