CaribbeanTales Media Group Gaffer Course Now Available!

Toronto, ON – The Gaffer is the Chief Lighting Technician and head of the Lighting Department. This is a vital role. The Gaffer works closely with the Cinematographer and is responsible for the design of the lighting plan for production. Through this course, participants will gain insight and knowledge on becoming a Gaffer and how to work in a production’s Lighting Department.  

CaribbeanTales’ Micro-Credentials for Black Media Professionals is a unique program that harnesses the expertise of experienced Black screen-based media industry professionals. Targeted at Emerging Filmmakers, the Program aims to fill a critical gap providing accessible online tools for skills development. This increases the employability of the program’ participants and the number of qualified Black professionals in various critical roles in the industry.  

The Course will be instructed by Zoe Davidson. Zoe is a successful director and cinematographer in the industry.  The films she has worked on have been featured at festivals around the world.
