#NYE2018 brought to you by the #MasalaMasti Team at Moonlight Convention Centre
Toronto(January 3, 2018): NYE2018 was an absolutely amazing event with over 500+ people enjoying the evening along with their family and friends.The celebration included dance performances, talented singers, audience interaction & lots of give aways.
The evening started with the vocal stylings of GTA’s own, @RockonTanuj backed by his keyboard artist Uzair, who covered some smashing Bollywood hits and got the audience up on their feet and rocking the dance floor. Also part of the entertainment roster was talented singer Tanveer Badar, who left the audience wanting for more.
The evening had various dance performances including Samba, Bellydance, Bollywood & Bhangra with dholis!
The highlight of the evening was an improv salsa dance competition featuring couples from the audience. 4 couples won dinner coupons from Student Biryani & the winning couple received a gift hamper from Vijaya Chumun – NVR Mortgages.
Other giveaways included 2 silver coins presented by Anand Gupta & Monika Verma from CIBC, a pair of diamond earrings from Fancy Jewellers & a travel getaway for 2 from Airport KIA.
Special mention must be made about the dance performance by the very young at heart Salsa dancing couple Mike & Sharon (age 60+) whose jaw dropping lifts combined with a few bollywood moves drew a series of ooooh’s and aaah’s from the audience.
The event had a full buffet starting with appetizers and ending in a 5 course meal – with vegetarian and non vegetarian options.
All in all, the audience had a great time dancing till 2.30 am to the beats of DJ Paul who played Bollywood, TOP 40 & even South Indian popular tunes to the absolute pleasure of the audience.
Overall #NYE2018 brought to you by the #MasalaMasti team of Mitul, Tanuj, Samina & Ikhlas was a very successful event and a great way to kick start 2018. The organizers brought in the year with a bang & a promise to produce many more events that showcase GTA’s diversity, solidarity and good, clean, family fun!
