MISSISSAUGA – MuslimFest will open its 14th edition with an opening multi-media ceremony “Canada 150” on Friday August 4th at Celebration Square, Mississauga. The exhibit showcases the contributions Canadian Muslims have made towards Canada’s economic growth, community service, diversity, and heritage. From volunteering at local soup kitchens, to building dialogue with interfaith delegates, helping Syrian refugees or housing victims from the Fort McMurray fire, Canadian Muslims have given back to their communities from coast-to-coast and the Canada 150 exhibit gathers their stories to illustrate the humanity and service that has brought communities together.
